Introducing Qwen Image Edit

Recently Alibaba released Qwen Image a powerful and versatile image model. However this was just a preview of their ultimate plan: Qwen Image Edit, a SOTA open weights image editing model.

Qwen Image Edit excels at text editing, beyond what we have seen from previous image editing models.

For instance, Qwen Image Edit is able to preserve the font style when editing, a traditionally difficult task.

By providing a an example image with a unique font (left), Qwen Image Edit can generate new text with the same font (right). Prompt was: Replace text and keep font. Text should only read "QWEN EDIT IS GROOVY!"

Qwen Image Edit can also add text to images seamlessly.

Precise Editing

In addition to text Qwen Image Edit can handle a precise local edits, without modifying the whole image.

Qwen Image can precisely edit images. Left is the original and right is with the prompt "Add mustache"
