fal Raises $49M Series B to Power the Future of AI Video

Generative media is expanding faster than we ever imagined, and video is its next frontier. fal has raised a $49M Series B to fuel our mission: building the core infrastructure for AI-driven media creation.

We’re thrilled to share that this round was led by Notable Capital in conjunction with Andreessen Horowitz (a16z)—who backed us from the start—joined by Bessemer Venture Partners, Kindred Ventures, and First Round, bringing our total funding to $72M. We’re proud to welcome Jennifer Li (a16z) and Glenn Solomon (Notable) to our Board of Directors as we continue to pioneer the Generative Media category we set out to create.

What’s Next

We’re using this funding to double down on three things:

1. Infra Expansion: We’re scaling our global cloud footprint to meet surging enterprise demand—especially for video. Within a year, we’ll grow from thousands of Hopper GPUs to tens of thousands of Blackwell GPUs, ensuring the performance and capacity needed for advanced compute workloads.
2. Model Marketplace & Ecosystem: Expect more community-driven features and new model endpoints (including Whisper, Flux, and the fastest Stable Diffusion benchmarks).
3. World-Class Team: We’re hiring across engineering, research, and sales to help us shape the future of AI-driven creativity.
